The Intention Behind VELA
OUR GOAL
To build a place that gives the day back to you. Health here is not a project you manage; it is how the place is built, and how the days run.
VELA RESORT CO., LTD. develops VELA, with architects, engineers and landscape designers, appointed for this one site. We drew the houses for this piece of land — its trees, its water, the way the light crosses it.
For years, the work came first: the next meeting, the next country, the next year, always one more. Nothing was wrong. Something was being spent that could not be earned back. The things that mattered — health, the people at the table, an unhurried morning — were the ones that waited. A life is an art. It asks for attention, and it asks for time. That is what this project is built on: You are your masterpiece.
VELA is a private wellness residence in Khao Lak, Phang Nga. Two- and four-bedroom pool villas, set in open landscape rather than behind fences, each with its own lap pool and onsen. Pavilions sit under deep eaves, with high ceilings and air drawn across the rooms from the water and the planting. What makes it work is kept out of sight: sensors, air and water systems built into the architecture, a principle we call Bio-Invisible. The plan follows the owner’s day — when they wake, when they eat, and when they want the house quiet.

The award is for a project still being drawn. Behind it is ordinary work: houses designed, engineered and costed before they are sold, then built to those drawings. Buyers who ask can see the drawings for their own villa.
VELA Resort & Residences was named the winner of Best Luxury Wellness Residences Development at the Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards 2025, held on 11 December 2025 at Park Hyatt Bangkok. One award, for one project. We would rather be judged later, by the people who live here.
